Tonight’s fixtures

There are sixteen fixtures tonight in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. I'm sure a fair few of the clubs will be playing under strength teams tonight, but the highlights of tonight's cup games include Notts County's visit to Valley Parade, while under pressure boss John Barnes can relax a little bit as his Tranmere team travel to Bury. Steve Staunton's first game in charge of Darlington is a timid affair, as his team travels to Elland Road. Strangely enough there are five games kicking off at 19:00 tonight. This appears to be a strange decision as it surely will discourage fans to go to games in a cup which is already struggling with an image problem. Please feel free to comment.

There is one game in the Conference as Tamworth host York City at the Lamb tonight. Tamworth will be looking to recover after defeat to Luton Town on the weekend, and could climb into the top five with a victory tonight. York currently have two games in hand over the top two clubs in the league, so a victory tonight would set them up nicely to challenge Kettering for second spot.
