Tonights result

Southport were denied opening up a 10 point gap at the top of the Blue Square North as they were held 1-1 at Ewen Fields. Hyde took the lead against the run of play thanks to a deflected goal from Tom Manship. But pressure eventually tolled for the league leaders and they got what they deserved after 51 minutes as Steve Daly scored with a shot on the turn. Hyde remain in 18th place as Southport extend their lead to 8 points.
