Promotion chasing Eastwood Town rescued a point as they clinched a 1-1 draw against Corby Town. Peter Knox grabbed an 82nd minute equalizer. The biggest crowd of the day in the Blue Square North came at the New Bucks Head where 1,542 people saw table toppers Droylsden topple their hosts AFC Telford 2-1 thanks to a 90th minute winner from Paul Brown. Bottom club Farsley Celtic beat Hyde United 3-0 in front of 326 people, which was the lowest gate of the day by one person as an attendance of 327 saw Workington defeat Vauxhall Motors 1-0. 20th placed Redditch United crashed to a 3-0 defeat to Stalybridge Celtic, who now occupy the final play off place. 2nd placed Southport drew 1-1 against Solihull Moors. Fleetwood Town and Gainsborough fought out a 2-2 draw, Fleetwood Town remain in fourth spot.

Dean Holdsworth dodged the dreaded curse of being awarded Manager of the Month, as he guided Newport County to the top of Blue Square South thanks to a 1-0 victory over Bath City. Newport gained top spot thanks to Dover Athletic rather surprisingly losing 1-0 to Worcester City. Worcester climbed out of the bottom three thanks to Weston-super-Mare and Wemouth both losing, and Lewes drawing 1-1 with Staines Town. Basingstoke Town went down 4-0 to Thurrock as Thurrock maintained third spot. This was Basingstokes third home defeat of the campaign. West Leigh Park saw the highest crowd of the day as Havant and Waterlooville drew 2-2 with Eastleigh. Havant were 2-0 up at half time, but a brace from Richard Gillespie secured a point for the visitors. Charlie Sheringham continued his impressive scoring form this season taking his tally to 12 thanks to a first half brace as Bishops Stortford beat Welling United 2-0. The Bishops moved into fifth place overtaking Basingstoke Town.
