FA Cup Dissappointment

Northwich Victoria were the first club to be knocked out of the second round as they were beaten 3-1 by League 2 side Lincoln City. Despite a very bright start in which the Vics could have been 2 or 3 up, Northwich went into the half time break 1-0 down thanks to a 17th minute strike from Chris Fagan. The second half started brilliantly fro the Vics after Nicky Bailey equalised in the 47th minute after a brilliant turn and an emphatic finish from about 6 yards out. Unfortunatly parity lasted for only 2 minutes as Jamie Clarke broke free of Nicky bailey to slot past Vics 'keeper Aspden. 15 minutes later Jamie Clarke scored his second and the Imps third to make the scoreline look more one sided than the game was. Northwich had a couple of chances but nothing fell there way, so its Lincoln City in to the hat with the big boys....
